(3.5.2 on macOS) interaction issues with completion menus

Of late I've found that helper menus have started to steal keyboard focus. Example: I type [[ and start typing someone's name, expecting that as I type the resultant menu will reduce down to list notes that match. But instead, the menu steals focus, I am no longer typing in the note, and my computer beeps at me due to the unexpected keystrokes.

You can close this one, Eduard Metzger; I think it was an interaction with VoiceOver, which I had been turning on and off to test some other things. The turning on and off confused more than just NotePlan!

I meant "GIF" in my last post. Here's another. Also, make sure to restart your machine, just in case.

Thanks for sharing this, however, I can't reproduce it. Somehow it seems to work fine (as always). But maybe you got something else running that interferes. You can upload a give (and screenshots) I think. Or please send me a video via email, if that's easier. That change was definitely not on purpose.

One really common thing I used to do is type ## /now↓↩ to get a second-level heading with today's date in ISO format. Now what happens is that somewhere after the / the menu appears but typing stops working, and I have to down arrow to find the /now shortcut that I want, but enter doesn't work, so I have to go get the mouse pointer and click on the /now shortcut. A HUGE step backward for speed and ease of use.

Or, rather, it's not the menu that steals focus but focus goes SOMEWHERE ELSE that prevents the usual interaction from working.

An effect of this is that when I type [[week↩ I USED TO get [[Weekly Objectives]] and now I get nothing.

This is also an issue in the current beta. I'd post a video (a screenshot doesn't capture it) but Canny won't let me.
