Add Audio Recorder to Meeting Notes

Would love to be able to record audio directly within a meeting note and have it linked to the note and calendar event

I would also love this feature for songwriting on the go. It’s cumbersome to start in the voice memos app, export to the files app (since NotePlan doesn’t show up in the share menu in the voice memos app), go to NotePlan, insert file, and find it in files. Streamlining this workflow would be much appreciated! Evernote, Zoho notebook, and Google keep have direct in app recording that works well. But I don’t want to leave NotePlan just for that feature because I love it so much. Thank you for your consideration!

Brie Bunge: You can just drag and drop the recording from the voice memos app to noteplan...

Haris Sav: Thanks for that tip for desktop. I should have included that I am trying to do this on iPhone.

Brie Bunge: I am also on iphone. Just open the note in noteplan. Then open voice memos. Tap and keep tapping on a recording to drag it. While keeping it tapped, return to Noteplan and let it go at the position that you need it. It’s easier than is sounds… 😅

Haris Sav: Wow!! I had no idea that was possible. Would never have discovered that feature without your help. 🤯

I’d find it more intuitive to have an audio recording option in the insert menu in NotePlan directly. But this is a decent workaround. Thank you for your help.

In a way it is possible through the use of attachments. You can start a recording an aurio through recordings, and then drag and drop the recording into the note.
