Anton Sklyar: Please dont use cmd-k, it is the universal shortcut for links and it already has a use in NP
Colin Gold: Sure, forgot about the links (but even if that was not the case I would not recommend using `cmd+K` because it has different semantics in some other apps, as mentioned above). For now the best option I see is `cmd+opt+T`. Not exactly related to the "week" word letters, of course, but related to `cmd+T` / `cmd+shift+T` hotkeys that are already present in the app for "today" and "tomorrow". For me going to the current week note seems to be semantically related to going to the current day, that's why the suggestion.
We need a short cut for week view tho.
`cmd+w` is standard shortcut to close the window (or tab). So I would strongly recommend another shortcut. Even if for iPad `cmd+w` is not breaking any default behaviour, introducing such a solution will bring even more inconsistency between iPad and MacOS version of the app, which I already reported here.
Anton Sklyar: I agree, which makes this a rare time where I will disagree with Mike E and would vote this down if possible!
Anton Sklyar: I agree, I use `cmd+w` quite a lot for closing tabs and windows, this would make me close windows accidentally.
*Moving from Discord to Canny* Usually in such cases when first letter of the word conflicts some other keyboard shortcuts I heard they take the next letter, but with the word "week" neither cmd+w, nor cmd+e will work. So yeah, `cmd+K` could probably work. Although there seems to be some convention in place that `cmd+K` is usually used for quick navigation (for which NotePlan has `cmd+J` right now). I conclude this from Slack, Todoist and some other apps (I think Chrome and Firefox also use that shortcut for focusing omnibox for navigation). So maybe `cmd+K` is not very good for weekly note navigation too. What about some modifier keys? For example, if `cmd+T` takes you to current day, maybe `cmd+opt+T` could take you to current week?
