Allow 2 or more top-level folders

I like NotePlan for task management and for notes. But I don't want my tasks and notes in the same place. For me, notes are permanent but tasks are ephemeral -- once I complete them, I don't want them cluttering my notes archive. Also, some of my existing archive of (markdown) notes are linked with relative links. This archive isn't in NotePlan's deeply buried data directory, and moving it there would break a lot of links. I'd love to use NotePlan with that existing archive for notes, and separately (with CloudKit) for calendar and tasks -- right now I use NotePlan for tasks and other apps for notes. I'd rather use NotePlan for both with different folders for the two functions.

Thanks for sharing this! Do you mean something like "workspaces" where you load up "Workspace A" and see a completely different data set than in "Workspace B"?

Eduard Metzger: That could work. For my own purposes, I’d prefer to be able to tell NotePlan: My daily notes live in this directory, my other notes live in this other directory. The reason (for me) is that I already have a bunch of plain text notes that I don’t want to move out of the directory they’re in, but I do like the CloudKit syncing of my daily notes, where I manage tasks

One important addition: I would ideally want the two workspaces (or whatever) would know about each other — you could link from one to the other.

Two or more top-level folders might also be a nice way of separating work and personal.
