Allow the notes folder to be a symlink or be in a customisable location

I tried making the Notes folder a symlink and then no notes showed up in Noteplan. I'd like to try to integrate my notes from Obsidian into Noteplan, and in both apps just use a symlink to a Notes folder in my home directory. I have had no issues with getting Obsidian to use a symlinked folder but Noteplan won't play nice. Right now I have my notes split across the two apps. There are reasons why I don't want to consolidate everything in a single app (each has features the other lacks). Note: I only want to do this for regular notes, not calendar/daily notes.
