Eduard Metzger can you annotate pdf on desktop? I’m always prompted to save a copy and can’t update the original.

Antone H. I think if you are using a different PDF app as default it works to overwrite the original.

Eduard Metzger Can you confirm this works for you please. I’ve already tried to overwrite the original. The only reason it asks to save copy is because it can’t write over the original. I’ve tried using the native preview app and pdfgear. When I use pdfgear I get the spinning rainbow wheel and have to force kill Noteplan.

Antone H. Yes, it works for me with Adobe Acrobat Reader. Make it the default app to open PDFs and you get the option in NotePlan as well:
