”Boolean search” capabilities

I believe boolean search with AND, OR, NOT and group “()” keywords would add a ton of value to Noteplan. It exists in Evernote and Bear for example. And it aligns very well with the ability to save searches (filters). Here is the example of advanced search operators in bear: https://bear.app/faq/how-to-search-notes-in-bear/

I agree that this functionality would be best if it is built into the default tool. Since filters and search work in a similar way now, they could both be merged into a single "feature" behind the scenes, but have additional functionality to narrow down searches more properly, and save them, etc. I'm wary of using too many plugins (and also learn more steps in a process that should be quick and simple) despite being a long time NP user. For new users, having this built in would make an even bigger difference.

Thank you, Jonathan Clark, for your work. The plugin is excellent, and I am currently using it. However, it would be more convenient if this functionality were integrated into the filters/search.

This is a gap, yes. So I wrote a plugin to do something about: Search Extensions. Does that do (almost) all of what you're after?
