Eduard Metzger: oh bummer. Thanks but that’s not a solution for me: I have to keep everything on my work calendar so others can’t book on top of a preexisting meeting. Otherwise I’d have to share all my N calendars with all my coworkers which of course would never work… What if Noteplan provides that coloring option itself? Iuyt would keep a map between event id and event color separately from apple APIs. Would that work?
Luiz Filho : Yes, that could work. The color could be saved in the Notes of the event, but you would have to set the colors every time again, or how do you manage this currently?
Eduard Metzger: many of my meetings are recurring, so when I set the color once, it stays forever. Then regular adhoc meetings usually just stay with the default color. And rarely I change the color of one of those if needs extra attention to catch my eye. If we set once for a recurring meeting, do you think noteplan would remember forever too?
Luiz Filho : Yes, it if the color can be saved in the Notes field of the event for example, then it can work. We can change the title of this request and see if more users want something like this, it might be an edge case.
Thanks for sharing this idea! We are using Apples API for calendar events and there’s no comp attribute for events unfortunately. Only the calendar color. A solution is to split your tasks types across different calendars maybe.
