close tags suggestions list using keyboard

In cases where the tag suggestions list pops up, there is no keyboard way to free the arrow up/down cursors. I need to click somewhere (or choose a tag from the list and hit return). Sometimes, I get the list even when moving around headers, eg. hitting delete until I reach the top of the page. I'd suggest that moving the cursor away from # with arrow left/right closes the tags suggestions. In addition, it would be nice if the system-wide cmd-dot closed any popup list.

ESC should close it? Works at least on Mac, but I noted CMD+. and moving the cursor.

Eduard Metzger: ah, esc. cmd + . would be easier on the hands, faster. popups happen so often, esc is too far away.
