Eduard Metzger: I still have this issue (macOS) and the note for the day is completely empty. I tried closing the app but that didn't do anything.
My impression is that this happens if an unclosed task today refers to a prior date. But I will test that idea today! UPDATE: nope, that's not it.
Thanks for reporting this. It seems something gets stuck in the caches. You can clear that up temporarily by resetting the caches. On iOS you find a button at the bottom of the preferences and on Mac under "Help" in the menubar. But I'll look into this what exactly gets stuck.
I have this same problem. It's inconsistent enough that I had not filed on it because I couldn't figure out how to MAKE it happen, but it happens and irritates my personal sense of elegance.
Jon Plummer: perhaps you want to add a vote ... ;-)
By any chance, do you have a code block with a * in it on those days? I experienced the same thing where I had checked everything off on the day but it remained red, indicating a task was overdue. I finally figured out that the issue was that within a codeblock from that day, I had an asterisk which was triggering NotePlan to think I had an incomplete task!
Stacey: no. I even deleted the content for this day and the day stayed red
I found a few problems with the >today link leaving days marked red and other inconistensies. Should improve with the next beta/release. Let me know if it does not!
