Hide calendar events

Short summary: Sometimes I want to hide an event (calendar appointment) from Noteplan while I would not like to reject the meeting in the calendar system. A 'hide event from Noteplan' feature would be helpful because it allows for a less cluttered time blocking interface. Context: I work for multiple different clients with many different teams. This leads to me having a standup meetings/sprint reviews, etc. I do not want to reject these recurring meetings (I need to stay in the loop and receive updates and/or be able to choose to join) Friction: Having many 10-20 minute meeting in the calendar makes the time blocking interface cluttered. Mainly because a 10 minute meeting pushes a 2 hour timeblock to half the width. Let alone the situation with 2 meetings and a time block. Proposed solution: I would like to be able to 'cosmetically hide' events from the Noteplan calendar without it influencing any other calendar system. Just a cosmetical hide so deciding which events to skip 'this time' can be part of a time blocking ritual. Considerations: - TickTick has a similar feature, I think it's called 'archiving' a calendar appointment. - A way to 'unhide' events need to be thought of as well. Things like a button in the settings with 'reset hidden events' or a 'reshow hidden events' button in the daily side-panel come to mind. (or both? :) As always, love the product, Noteplan makes my live much easier and all the hard work is greatly appreciated

I would appreciate this as well. I’m subscribed to company calendars and only 10% of the meetings apply to me. For a good representation of how this feature can be implemented, check out Fantastical.

Did you try turning off calendars in the "Calendars" preferences? Does this do what you request? You can hide complete calendars. I'm not sure if you would want to hide individual events, isn't that too much work?

Eduard Metzger: Hey Eduard, thanks for the reply. I have turned off some calendars yet would actually find it more useful to be able to hid some specific events. On regular basis actually. And it's definitely not your fault, but it's probably easier to change software than to change my partner and colleagues. 1. My partner likes to add EVERYTHING to our family calendar and even though I admit it's useful to see events that involve both of us. I don't need to see certain events once l know they are happening (or Time-blocked them i my Daily Note), but I don't want to delete them either. E.g. events over several days, things that belong more to my partner. 2. Subscribed calendars: Birthdays, Holidays, Company subscription or classes or events from e.g. Sched (which get's super overloaded). I do find it useful to get se these events and plan accordingly, but some birthdays are just not that relevant to me since they are fulled from facebook.

Fantastical does this. Very useful feature. Especially when subscribed to company calendars where some entries don’t apply but you can’t delete them.
