This would clean things up considerably for me! I am in sales and have a note for each account that I append meeting notes to. However, I generally put tasks in my daily note to work out of. I like to have a link to the account page so I can see open tasks on the page, but don't want it cluttered up with things I've completed. Currently have to manually either delete the task in my daily note, or unlink it. Neither are ideal.

You mean if a task references a note, and the task is completed (or postponed/cancelled) the reference will not show up in the referenced note? Yes Please! I habe a semi-persistent shopping list, and I reference this in the "go groceries shopping" or "go to ikea" tasks in my daily notes. Problem is, I need to remove those references, or they'll spam the top section of the note. I know I could collapse this, but I usually have it expanded for a reason. Same about tasks like "Work on that customer", which references a note with detailed TODOs for that customer.
