Images get deleted when moved from Calendar Note to Normal Note

I lost a couple of images today when moving them from a calendar note to a regular note; after close/reopening the note, the image is replaced with the markdown link and the image is deleted from disk I think I get why this is happening , image is deleted from the cal-day so its removed from the folder, but the link should be updated then to a copy in the regular note! This is very unfortunate :(
