Interconnect with Devonthink
I am using Devonthink as my database. I am not sure how hard it is to implement. But here are some features which could be to my interests:
1. Store my notes in Deveonthink and it could be synced between different Mac and iOS devices.
2. Access Devonthink file by markdown link (which is already supported now).
3. In this way, as the devonthink system itself support the backlink, the files and notes could be found in both way.

In NotePlan open your local database in Finder as shown in the attached black image. Go up one level and drag the parent "co.noteplan.NotePlan3" to your Finder favorites sidebar. This is so it's easier to find in the next step Then in DEVONthink, create a group called "NotePlan" or whatever suits your taste. Go to File -> Index Files and Folders... (see image) and then add each of the "Notes" and "Calendar" as separate folders in the new NotePlan group. You can add the whole NotePlan dir, but then you get all of the theme, plugin and system files in DT3, which you probably don't want Now when you edit your files in either NotePlan, DEVONthink desktop or DEVONthink To Go, the changes will sync among all the places
