IOS badges/widgets only refreshed after opening app

- the IOS widget shows the open tasks for today - the IOS badge counts the open tasks for today this works fine but: if I add/remove on my Macbook a task for today, it doesn't change my IOS Widget/Badge until I open the app on my iPhone. not ideal of course - is there something we can do to fix this? thanks

Thanks for sharing this! It should also update in the background, but it depends if iOS allows NotePlan to start in the background. It won't if you are low battery for example. Or if you turned off background refresh?

Eduard Metzger i've doublechecked your questions. - background refresh is certainly turned on for Noteplan - i don't think battery level is in play as the "issue" also happens when charging or at a high battery % Remarks: - I'm currently since 1 week on IOS, iPadOS & MacOs Public Beta but according to me this is not linked as i've experienced this behavior also on the previous general releases. - this is issue happens both on IOS & iPAD OS - on MacOS is works fine (new/completed tasks on iOS are instantly reflected in MacOS badge count). Is this something other users also have experienced?

Stanislas Hautekiet Thanks for checking the points. I just tested it on my iPhone. It's also not updating for me with Things 3, and Todoist. Just Reminders seems to update. Not sure if this is something the developer can control looking at this. Do other (non messaging) apps update the badge count for you?
