iPad / Mac UI consistency - Move calendar sidebar on iPad to the right

The main inconsistency that breaks app's usage patterns begins in the general UI structure: - MacBook goes "navigation bar - main note area - calendar bar" - iPad goes "navigation bar - calendar bar - main note area" (or week view above main note area like on iPhone but that does not feel convenient on iPad either) While a calendar sidebar from mac version (with month view and day time blocking) is definitely a massive amount of work, we could start with just switching the order of the panes, so that the calendar view (week/month + list of today's events) would be shown on the right instead of occupying central lane. It would also make sense to show and hide those left and right sidebars on iPad with the same keyboard shortcuts that we are so used to on Mac version. Current cmd+1 and cmd+2 behaviour just does not make sense to anyone who has been using MacOS version. P.S.: Speaking about consistency, one thing could also be ported from iPad to MacOS, namely the list of today's events. I find daily timeline somewhat inconvenient to use right now and having an option to show today's events and reminders as a list instead would be a huge improvement for my workflow (although I do not know how many more people have a similar need).

Is it an option to have a user configurable layout preference? Perhaps that is more work, but for those who got used to their primary device’s layout a forced change to a different layout could be frustrating.
