Keep Original Image Resolution

It would be nice to have an option to add full resolution images to a note and not have NotePlan physically resize images when added, **regardless of how they are displayed**. Right now, images are resized if big (i.e., reduced in resolution), and increased in resolution if small. Actually, in the latter case, images added to notes actually end up **larger** than the original, which can also be a problem. This has implications, for example, when adding screenshots of full screen retina views: text often becomes illegible since images are reduced in resolution. I consider this a separate issue from the "Image Resizing" post here: https://feedback.noteplan.co/general-feature-request/p/image…, since that seems to focus on how an image is displayed within a note in the GUI, not the physical resolution of the saved image on disk.

Eduard Metzger how did the feature got implemented in the end? If i drop two images 2000px each will there be smaller res images cached for rendering or are you drawing them as they are? Having many images was always slowing things down but now with original size kept it is much worse. Usually i don't care about inline image quality as long as i know the original is stored and accessible.

Wow! I'm glad I saw this. I would consider this a serious bug. NotePlan should **never** change image sizes without asking. Almost all my notes have images - sometimes quite large. And they must be kept that way.

I think they're connected. I hope it gets solved soon because it makes no sense to actively mess up my images 😁
