I love the current behaviour, but I would really like a real calendar view with day, week, month, etc options. How I see it: 1. have this calendar view as an option in the left side bar, to select it and show the calendar on the entire window. 2. option to open this view as a separate window, in order to have side by side noteplan window and the calendar view. Or even put the calendar view on another display or virtual desktop 2.1 even better to have the option to open multiple separate calendar windows. In this way I could have one for the week or month and one to the day which I could have on different screens or desktops.
I would LOVE if NotePlan could be my only calendar app I need. As it is now, I need another one alongside it to get those views
2-week is one if the good things in google calendar that is not generally available elsewhere in my ecosystem
I would love this - only thing missing for me from NotePlan because I like visualizing work on a calendar. Only challenge I see is that it really breaks the visual paradigm of NotePlan. In order to make this work I’d need to be able to see my notes side-by-side with the calendar so I could drag tasks to different days.
I also would love a large calendar view. It should be a separate tab, like "Week" is in the Sidebar (IMO). It would also be nice if it worked like Calendar's month view where you see a list of all events, tasks, bullet items in a table view on the specific day.
I personally prefer it the way it is now. So I guess it’d be nicer if this layout option would be a *preference* rather than just changing the layout back. Otherwise it’d be a step back for some of the users who prefer the focus on notes.
I am currently stuck with the pro version of Fantastical, which is quite pricy, because it's the only calendar app that closest applies the usability of google calendar to my icloud data (calendar contacts and reminders). If NotePlan would feature a full 2-way-sync icloud calendar view with the ability to plan everything in NotePlan on my Work PCs (non-apple) including invitations of icloud contacts to events, that would solve everything for me.
