Tracy Helms: I supposed it‘s a restriction coming from Microsoft. Though that‘s really annoying. It should be possible for a piece of software like MS Office to automatically assign some sort of GUID to every message and - no matter if it‘s moved or not - to hardlink to it.
I wonder, how Todoist does it though. There is a Todoist-Outlook-Plugin that creates a Task from a message in Todoist, which links to the original message. The link breaks when the message is moved in Outlook. But it would be great to have the same for Noteplan (or in general, if there was a Outlook-plugin that copies a link to a message to the clipboard).
i believe the problem here is office 365. i have a recurring reminder to check the progress on the feature request over at MS. it’s my understanding outlook 365 still cannot generate a link to an individual email.
