(macOS) odd behavior editing whitespace at the left edge of a task

1) On a new line, type TAB twice, your task token of choice (mine is a hyphen) a SPACE, and some text. 2) Move the cursor to the left of the task circle 3) hit DELETE (backspace) Actual result: the task is no longer a task, both tabs are still there Expected result: the task is still a task, one of the tabs is removed, since backspace should delete the character to the left of the insertion point 1) On a new line, type TAB twice, your task token of choice (mine is a hyphen) a SPACE, and some text. 2) Move the cursor to between the two tabs 3) hit DELETE (backspace) Actual result: the task is no longer a task, both tabs are still there Expected result: the task is still a task, one of the tabs is removed, since backspace should delete the character to the left of the insertion point
