(macOS) Unexplained behavior cutting and pasting tasks

1) Have a list of tasks 2) Select from before the task circle to before the first bit of anything (markdown formatting, task circle, etc). on the next line 3) Cut – task and the line it is on are removed, as expected 4) Put insertion point before a task circle on another line. 5) Paste Expected result – a new line is inserted before/at the insertion point and the task previously cut is pasted Actual result – a new line is inserted before/at the insertion point and the task previously cut is pasted but it's not a task anymore, just the text. I have a video but Canny does not allow upload of videos.
