"Note" menu items to be available if note is selected

I have a note selected in the sidebar, and I pressed command-U to get its URL - and was surprised only to get a system-alert beep. I investigated and found that all of the commands in the "Note" menu except "Open in New Window" are grayed out. Those commands are also not available via a contextual menu. I want the "Note" menu items to be available if I select a note. I would expect the commands available via the contextual menu to be more or less the same as those in the "Note" menu.
