Published notes - ‘*’ vs ‘ -‘

Published notes seem to display all ‘*’ as tasks and all ‘-‘ as bullets, despite what’s in the user preferences. I’ve always had my prefs set the other way around and now my tasks appear as bullets and bullets as tasks when I publish. Would be great if the publishing function could check against the preferences and adjust to match.
