Saving application state

Right now if you close Noteplan, it doesn't save the state. So, if you have a layout of notes that you like (say like a Kanban board), it means setting it up all over again if you quit and restart the app. I'd love an option to save the state - so all the notes I have open, and things like whether I have the Calendar expanded on the right.
