Sorround selected text with different markers

Something I do all the time in other editors (VS Code, IntelliJ, even Obsidian): Select a text, then type, for instance, the square bracket. The marked text will now be sorrounded by a pair of square brackets, instead of replacing the text. This is especially useful for making some plain text become a Note link or be italic/bold

This seems to work, at least with [], (), "" — it doesn't work with '', {} or <>

Please add this, this should be working with all characters, that need to be at the start and at the ending of a text. Just like linking with [[]]

I just discovered this functionality in Obsidian (!) and I think it would be an extremely welcome addition to NotePlan. +👍🏻

Please add this, would be extremely helpful. This is already working for bold, italics etc.

I'd love this functionality also. I constantly find myself missing the ability to surround with single quotation marks, double quotation marks, and backquotes.

Yes, I really miss this functionality.
