Allow some kind of main planning note, that are prominently visible on the top of the sidebar
The daily notes are great for journalling etc. However, I tend to have multiple notes "TODO list" notes where I keep my TODO tasks (daily job, freelance job, private stuff). More complex projects live in their own notes with tasks, but I usually link from these TODO lists.
These TODO lists live inside a folder, and the folder view is set to show me the three TODO lists.
Filters are nice, but they oftentimes lack context and I can't write into them directly. Meaning it's important to me that I can use these TODO list notes directly. For me, these are a daily driver and basically one of the main entrypoints when I open NotePlan in the morning.
Idea:
- allow users to mark notes as "planner". (This should be integrated into right-click menus or similar, but can be controlled via frontmatter)
- in the left sidebar, in the NotePlan section on the top, next to the Filters, add a section that just displays the planners.
There already is a feature called "pinned notes". This has overlaps, but I'd rather have these on the very top (hierarchically similar to the Calendar notes). According to this feature, pinned notes would still live in the "Notes" section, which feels more like a directory of everything, and therefore not the place where such central notes should be linked.
