Improved "search all"

I've loved Noteplan (and its constant evolution) for over 4 years, but I must admit that the global "search all" function is hard to use, and doesn't evolve much...
- Filter by tag “#work” ? Hello "#workingon" and "#workout" (that makes some filters...complicated).
- Search for "off", it will return "office", "offers"...
- Good luck to those whose language uses accents
Wouldn't it be time to show some love to it (full words, case sensitive, regexp options)?
In fact, adopting the same functions for global search (cmd-shift-f or cmd+j) as for search within a note (cmd+f) would be perfect (apart from the patterns, which imho would benefit from being replaced by standard regexp) ^^.
Thanks for this great product ❤

Thanks for sharing this. I can't reproduce the issue with
#work
also showing #workout
. I tried it with those exact tags in two different calendar notes. I tried it in search and filters.I can only see it with words (which I think is normal). But not tags.
@Jonathan Clark Have tried the plugin, and checked "full words", but it still matched all results with "work" somehow. Are you looking regexp'ing for whats appearing before and after the words (or using the
/w
word boundaries) or so?D

Eduard Metzger thanks a lot for your reply! Regarding the #work case: maybe I'm wrong, but whether it's the filters or the global search, everything matches every time. So it's just impossible to have a #work filter alone.
Below some screenshot showcasing that.

Dntme17 Ok, I think I figured out what is happened. Try that with the #workout in another note. Then it works. Only if it's in the same note the problem occurs.

Eduard Metzger you are right of course! (I have very long notes, one per subject). Strange that the behavior is different within a note or several notes ^^
Other point remain (accents, regexp) but the main one is understood, thank you very much!

Eduard Metzger a strange behavior however. Sorry, I've hidden a lot of text because it's a real use, but why does the “@car” filter make the “@carnal” mention come out in different notes?

I agree that there isn't as much flexibility with search. Which is why I wrote, a long time ago now, the Search Extensions plugin. This deals, I think, with all these points.
But I'd be happy to see the features come into the main app.

Jonathan Clark You rock:) I rely a lot on filters so it would perfect to have the same options in these...

Jonathan Clark Thanks for the awesome plugin; just looking around, but it adds a new dimension to the app.
