Kanban with tasks as cards?

In the Kanban Plugin in Obsidian, I have a single note file for each board, headers for columns, and tasks as cards that I can check off as usual. I tried out the Noteplan Kanban view today and found that the corresponding items are is shifted one level up so that I need a folder for each board, and each card that I want to appear on a certain column the Kanban board needs to be its own note file with a particular Property to put it into a column. This leads to folders with a lot of notes, and once done, I need to go through quite a few steps if I want a done task to be put on the calendar day or into a project note to remind me when I did what.
I tried it out today and ended up going back to my handful of Kanban board notes instead of a handful of folders with many task notes in them. The main reason is that I can easily jot something down in the correct Kanban, but it involves more steps to generate a note for this and I cannot easily copypaste the note to a day.
Would it be possible to supplement an alternative toggle-able Kanban display that has tasks as cards and headers as columns? The advantages are also in sorting tasks with arrow keys and mouseless copypastes.

In the latest beta you can toggle to showing tasks. But we still need to support headers as columns. It's a bit rough around the edges still.

I was hoping for the same, as I have tasks from many work projects that I need to log in their corresponding stages, but don’t want to make a note for each task (that would be unwieldy)
